Love is in the Air.....

this is one of my favourite cushions completed in lovely pastel pinks. I have done previous ones in blues, beige and red. The design lends itself to weddings and special occasions really well, and is a nice addition to a romantic bedroom.

Flutter Little Butterfly...................

I have just finished another version of my butterfly cushion, this time in blues, using a piece of vintage Liberty Tana Lawn fabric and contrasted with some modern heart designs to finish off the look.

I have been given the opportunity to rent a hut in the Whitstable Harbour Village, which starts in a couple of weeks time, so I need to get stitching so I have some goodies to sell and hopefully get some feedback to what I am making and whether they are things people would like to own!!!
Watch this space for further updates on how I get on and I will post a picture of the hut once I have settled in!!! I will just have to custom myself to the cold time of year !!!!

Reversible Bag

I have just finished this bag for my friend Louise's birthday. She is a fan of my bags and has a few of them now, and as she liked the one I had recently made at a workshop I thought it would be a great gift ! I have made hers in a chic mono chrome black, white and grey and put a pink butterfly fabric in the centre of the court house steps blocks I created for the outside, to give it a splash of colour. The inside is made of plain squares in contrasting fabrics. Just need to wrap up and make delivery for the special day!!!

Oooh La La Paris

Mark and I are going out tomorrow with friends for a Raise the Roof fund raising evening, in Blean, which has been organised by Anne who is bravely cooking for 60 people a French style meal. As there is a raffle, which I have already made a tote shopping bag with some lovely fabric we found at the last quilt show we went to which had Eiffel Towers over it! I then found this simple but effective template that lent itself to a simple stitchery and turned it into a small cushion which I have also included with the stuffing, some French lavender I got on my last visit to the south of France! I hope the winner likes my efforts!! And lots of money is raised for the hall extension.

More Bunnies for a baby girl

My first order for the new year is for the birth of another little girl! "Orla Florence" born 21st January. The request was for the three bunnies again in pinks, I found the pretty small flowers which also have a tinge of lilac so edged the cushion in a small lilac check as a contrast!
